Coast Dental Hygiene began with a simple belief: exceptional preventive care shouldn't be hard to reach.

Mabel Zhou, a registered dental hygienist, kept seeing the same thing — routine cleanings getting delayed. Patients are waiting on referrals, trying to fit appointments into traditional office hours, or are unsure what a visit would even cost. She knew there was a better way to care for people.

So in 2025, Mabel opened Coast Dental Hygiene in Richmond — an independent dental hygiene clinic built entirely around the patient. In British Columbia, registered dental hygienists have direct access, which means you can book a professional cleaning without a dentist referral. Mabel built her clinic on that freedom: care that's easier to access, on a schedule that fits real life.

Prevention is at the heart of everything we do. We're not a traditional dental office — our focus is cleanings, education, and the personalized coaching that keeps your smile healthy between visits. Every appointment includes time to talk, to ask questions, and to genuinely understand your own oral health. With evening and Saturday hours, modern equipment, and a calm, welcoming space, we make it simple to keep up with the care you deserve.

In just a short time, Coast Dental Hygiene has grown into a trusted name for preventive care across Richmond and Metro Vancouver — and we're still growing. Our second clinic opens in summer 2026 in North Vancouver, bringing the same direct-access, prevention-first care to the North Shore.
